In Reception our children continue to follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum In our nurturing, language rich environment. Within the different areas of learning, we provide a broad and balanced curriculum delivered through indoor and wonderful outdoor provision. All our children learn through their own initiated learning time and adult led activities, we like to call this ‘Discovery time’. Our highly skilled and experienced team scaffold and support child initiated learning through the rich, varied environment and their interaction playing alongside our children. The enabling environment and positive relationships nurturing each unique child is at the heart of our learning and teaching.

Our vision links to the parable of the mustard seed in Matthew 13: 31-32. For seeds to grow, they need solid, firm and strong roots. In this parable, Jesus explains that a mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds, yet when planted in the ground, it grows into one of the largest garden plants, so big, that birds can perch on its branches. From small beginnings, the kingdom of God has grown and spread across the whole earth. From small beginnings, we seek to give our children strong roots that allow them to thrive and flourish, giving them the wings to fly as they seek to experience ‘life in all its fullness’ as expressed in John 10: 10.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3457″ img_size=”medium”][vc_custom_heading text=”Dedicated Outdoor Area” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Our Early Years provision has its own dedicated outdoor area, to support our children to discover and learn through active play and exploration, in a happy, safe and nurturing environment.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3489″ img_size=”medium”][vc_custom_heading text=”Weekly Wellie Walks” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Our advantageous location enables us to take the children on weekly wellie walks close to our school site, so that they are able to connect and discover nature and the local countryside safely.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3461″ img_size=”medium”][vc_custom_heading text=”Learning brought to Life” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Our environment provides the children with opportunities to take part in activities that build on and extend their interests and skills and develop their intellectual, physical, social and emotional abilities, enabling them to develop into confident and independent learners.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”This is what our Parents have to say……” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3653″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3651″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3649″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1490101471002{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_single_image image=”8257″ img_size=”2000X600″][vc_column_text] EYFS [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Welcome to the Early Years where our children continue to build those vital foundations of Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Physical Development!
