Entry to Reception

Children start school at St. Bartholomew’s C of E Primary School in the September of the Academic Year in which they turn 5. Initial entry is staggered over the first two weeks to allow for a successful integration into our school. The school does not handle the intake of Reception age children as this is undertaken by Somerset County Council’s Admissions Department. They can be contacted at 0300 123 2224 or Our admission arrangements (somerset.gov.uk) for further information and guidance. For advice about admitting a child once they have started school elsewhere, please contact the school office or seek advice by contacting the Admissions Department on this link or telephone number above.
